Community Guidelines

Last updated: May 24, 2026

GoDoU is a trust-based platform for sharing the places and routes you genuinely love. It works because people share honestly and treat each other well. These guidelines keep it that way. They apply to everything you post and to how you behave on the platform.

1. Share what you actually know

2. Be respectful

Treat other people the way you would a neighbour showing you around their city. Disagree kindly. Assume good faith.

3. What is not allowed

4. Safety first

Routes and spots are shared by other people, not vetted by us. Use your own judgement before any outdoor or physical activity: check conditions, your fitness, and local rules. Respect private property, protected areas, and wildlife.

5. Reporting and blocking

If you see content that breaks these guidelines, report it. In the app you can report a go or a spot, and you can block another user so their content no longer appears for you. Reports help us keep GoDoU trustworthy. You can also email neil@godou.io.

6. Enforcement

When content or behaviour breaks these guidelines we may remove the content, limit features, or suspend or remove the account, depending on severity. Serious or repeated violations can lead to a permanent ban.
