Delete your account

You can permanently delete your GoDoU account and all associated data at any time. This page explains how, and what gets removed.

1. Delete in the app

The fastest way is in the GoDoU app:

Open Settings.
Tap Delete Account.
Confirm when prompted.

Your account is then deleted immediately. This is a one-way action and cannot be undone.

2. Delete by email

If you cannot access the app, email neil@godou.io from the address on your account and ask us to delete it. We will verify the request and complete the deletion, normally within 30 days.

3. What gets deleted

Your account and login credentials.
Your profile, display name, bio, and avatar.
Your preferences and interest tags.
The go's, spots, and descriptions you created.
Your completion history, saves, and reactions.

Aggregated, non-identifying analytics that cannot be linked back to you may be retained. We may also retain limited records where the law requires it.

4. What this means

Deletion is permanent. Once your account is deleted we cannot recover it or its content, and you would need to create a new account to use GoDoU again.
