By using GoDoU, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
2. The Service
GoDoU is a platform for discovering and sharing curated local experiences ("go's"). Users create routes with spots, descriptions, and tips. Other users can browse, complete, and share these routes.
3. Your Account
You must provide accurate information when creating an account.
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account.
You must be at least 13 years old to use GoDoU.
4. Your Content
You retain ownership of the go's, descriptions, and tips you create.
By publishing content on GoDoU, you grant us a license to display, distribute, and promote it on the platform and through integrations (including ChatGPT).
You are responsible for ensuring your content is accurate, original, and does not violate the rights of others.
We may remove content that violates these terms or is reported as harmful.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
Create go's with intentionally false or misleading information.
Use the platform to spam, harass, or deceive other users.
Scrape, crawl, or automatically extract data from GoDoU without permission.
Attempt to access other users' accounts or private data.
Use the platform for any illegal activity.
6. Third-Party Integrations
GoDoU integrates with third-party services including ChatGPT (OpenAI). When using GoDoU through these services:
The third party's terms of service also apply.
We are not responsible for the behavior or availability of third-party services.
Content created through integrations is subject to the same rules as content created on GoDoU directly.
7. Booking Links
Some spots in go's may include links to third-party booking services (e.g., Viator, GetYourGuide). GoDoU may earn affiliate commissions from these links. We are not responsible for the products or services offered by these third parties.
8. Limitation of Liability
GoDoU is provided "as is." We do not guarantee the accuracy of user-created content. We are not liable for any damages arising from your use of the platform, including but not limited to reliance on route information, spot recommendations, or booking links.
9. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms. You may delete your account at any time by contacting neil@godou.io.
10. Changes
We may update these terms. Material changes will be communicated via the platform. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
11. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia, Canada.
